Music played during the video: At 31 seconds : "Troubles", Hannah on banjo and Emily on mandolin Originally played by Kilby Snow on the autoharp.

Leo and Ann Mallek own Currituck Farm, www.ctfbeef.com, and they have been " raising beef in our pasture in Albemarle County, Virginia, since 1982. Hereford cows and Angus bulls provide naturally heavy muscled, fast growing, gentle calves. We sell calves to other farms and finish sides of beef for direct sale. Careful, stress-free management and no poisons make healthy farm animals (and farmers’ families too)."
Our interview highlights one of the many small farms located in Albemarle County, and specifically Earlysville.
Ann Mallek is also the White Hall area's representative on the Albmarle County Board of Supervisors. At the time of the interview, Ann was in the midst a campaign to retain her seat on the BoS for a fourth term.

Election Officials Needed - Have you ever considered it? Janice Supinger discusses becoming an Elections Official.
As the Albemarle County population grows, so does the need for Election Officials to man our elections. Residents in Earlysville vote at several difference polling places, depending on where they live. One of those polling places is Broadus Wood Elementary School. Janice Supinger is the Chief of Elections at the Earlysville Precinct. I met with Janice, and she talks about what is involved in being an Elections Official.
